With the Covid-19 pandemic, many people are finding themselves more isolated and unable to get out and take part in their favorite activities. Hilary Sloane has six ideas for living a purposeful and fulfilling life when you’re stuck at home…
If you’re stuck at home and unable to get out, try bringing the outdoors to you. The best way to do this is to grow plants indoors. You could start a little herb garden. It won’t take up much space and, if you don’t have natural sunlight coming in, you can put the plants under a bright lamp for a few hours a day.
Undertake a modest beautification project. Take a small space and fix it up so it looks particularly nice. Take 15 minutes to clean out that one corner of the living room has become a depository for stuff, some of which hadn’t been used for years, and wipe the dust away. Maybe put a statue or plant in its place. Declutter and beautify at the same time.
Take up an art or craft. Experiment with many arts and crafts such as fabric painting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, water coloring, drawing, writing poetry or keeping a diary.
