The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the case of the thieves who stole a trailer and left the boat behind. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the intersection of Booth Road and Mitch Lane in Landers about 10:30 a.m. for a report of a boat abandoned in and blocking the dirt road. The caller said the thieves strapped it to a Joshua Tree and fled with the trailer. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
