Thieves were busy in Twentynine Palms Thursday night. Sometime Thursday night, two unknown men forced their way into the kitchen of the Twentynine Palms Inn restaurant and stole food and alcohol, valued at more than $1000. On Friday morning, a resident in the 73600 block of Cactus Drive went out to his car to drive to the gym. When the car wouldn’t move, he got out of the car and discovered that the tires on the passenger side of the vehicle had been stolen sometime Thursday night. Also Thursday, someone cut the chain link fence in the 6200 block of Ocotillo Avenue and broke the window of the resident’s pick-up truck and stole the truck’s battery. The suspect also cut the water line to a pressure washer. The owner estimated the cost of the damages at $3,750. It’s not known if any of the burglaries are related.
