The highly anticipated 2019 20th anniversary performance season for Theatre 29 will be announced at a combined Morongo Basin Chambers of Commerce mixer this Wednesday evening. Theatre 29 will celebrate two decades of the desert’s finest live theater at a mixer hosted by Theatre 29 and the Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms Chambers of Commerce. The 20th anniversary “Best Hits” season will feature shows produced over the past 19 seasons. They include classic and newer Broadway musicals, two classic dramas, one comedy, and a themed holiday musical, plus summer youth theater, improv comedy, and more. As each production is revealed, its director will offer a show description complete with musical and dramatic performances. The Chambers of Commerce will give attendees a look at their activities and upcoming events. The free event will take place at the Theatre 29 building in Twentynine Palms at 73637 Sullivan Road from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19. Soft drinks and deli delights will be served by Theatre 29 volunteers. Attendees of the event will have the first opportunity to purchase Theatre 29 2019 season tickets which include all mainstage productions and one performance by the “Bakers’ Dozen” Improv Troupe.
