THEATRE 29 TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER YOUTH THEATER PROGRAM

Applications are now available for the Theatre 29 summer youth theater program. All students who are applying must agree to be in attendance for the entire month-long program. The program will run Monday through Friday from July 5 through August 7. Two age groups of students—juniors, ages 7 to 12 meet from 10:00 a.m. to noon, and seniors, ages 12 to 17—meet from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. The cost for the program is $60 per student. The program will teach a wide variety of theatrical skills, including auditioning, acting, singing, and choreography plus backstage skills and more. Applications must be turned in by mail only by June 10. Payment in full is due by June 24. The program will culminate with performances of “Disney’s Aladdin Jr.” set for August 5, 6, and 7. The classes and performances will all be held at Theatre 29, 73637 Sullivan Road in Twentynine Palms.
Applications are available at theatre29.org, the Twentynine Palms Park and Recreation offices, the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Z107.7 studios in Joshua Tree.
