In its fourth year now, Theatre 29’s Summer Youth Theatre Program is teaching a wide variety of theatrical skills to students from age 7 to 17. The program will culminate with six performances of “Disney’s Little Mermaid Jr.” The junior group—ages 7 to 11—are being directed by Katie Fleischman, and the seniors—ages 11 to 17—are with director Gary Daigneault. The musical director is Bianca Stoker; choreography is by Sarah Fleischman. Lisa Goldberg is technical director, and Cindy Daigneault is the costume designer. All students in the program will receive a DVD of their performance, a CD or .mp3 file of the show music, their script, a program T-shirt, plus friends, memories, and skills to last a lifetime.
Tickets for Disney’s “Little Mermaid Jr.” are available at theatre29.org or by calling the box office at 760-361-4151.
