Fourteen to twenty Musical Performers are sought for “Carrie, The Musical”. Auditions at Theatre 29 will be held Sunday, August 12 at 5 p.m. Bring a karaoke non-vocal backing track on CD or a mobile device of a Broadway show song. Dress prepared to move, scripts will be provided for cold readings. Teenage roles include Carrie, she’s a school outcast with telekinetic powers. Straight-A student Sue Snell narrates the story, Frieda is her brainy gal pal. The popular Chris Hargensen is the main bullying villain; gossipy Norma is second-in-command. Star athlete Tommy and his jock wing man George, plus nerdy friend Stokes and bad boy Billy Nolan.
Helen is a bit nerdy and Freddy is the class clown. Adult roles include Carrie’s mother Margaret who is fervently religious. English Teacher Mr. Stephens and P.E. Teacher Miss Gardner who is like a fairy God mother to Carrie.
