Theatre 29 is now taking applications for theatrical directors here in the Morongo Basin. Any interested director is asked to send in two suggested show titles for the 2017 season and request a time slot for the show. Requests are not guaranteed. All applications will be reviewed and sent to the board of directors. All shows must be family-oriented and six shows will be featured in next year’s season along with a summer youth theater program. All directors are asked to send their requests to Theatre 29 Play Selection Committee, in care of Gary Daigneault at 6448 Hallee Road, Suite #5 in Joshua Tree, CA 92252.
Theatre 29 will present six productions plus a summer youth theater program during the 2017 calendar year. New for 2017, musicals will run 12 performances over a 4-week run (three performances, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each weekend) with allowance to extend the run another weekend. Non-musicals will run nine performances in a 3-week run, also Friday, Saturday evenings, and Sunday matinees. Each play will run Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The schedule allows for a minimum seven-week rehearsal cycle. All shows are produced at the Theatre 29 building at 73637 Sullivan Road in the City of Twentynine Palms.

Show: 1: January 13 – January 29
Show: 2: March 10 – April 2 (HO April 9)
Show: 3: May 5 – May 21 (HO May 28)
Summer Youth Program: – July 5 – August 6
Show: 4: September 1- September 17
Show 5: (Halloween Specialty) October 19 – October 31
Show 6: November 24 – December 17 (HO December 24)
