THEATRE 29 REVEALS THE CAST OF THE MERRY MURDEROUS “A GENTLEMAN’S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER”

Theatre 29’s first main stage musical of the 2021 season, A Gentleman’s Guide To Love and Murder, is announces its’ cast. Entertainment Reporter Charlie Thomas tells you how to get in on the merry mayhem…

Theatre 29 is proud to announce the cast of the first musical production of the 2021-2022 season, the mercurial musical comedy, “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder”. With book and lyrics by Robert L Freedman and music and lyrics by Steven Lutvak, the story of Monty Navarro, the black sheep of the D’Ysquith family, finding out he is ninth in line to inherit a dukedom, decides to eliminate the other eight heirs standing in his way. The delightfully deadly production will take the stage October 1 – 24 at Theatre 29 in Twentynine Palms.

Under Artistic Direction of Gary Daigneault, Musical Director Scott Clinkscales and Choreography of Lisa Goldberg, this musical undertaking will be the first major staged musical since March of 2020. In the role of the genial murderer Monty Navarro is veteran comedic performer Graham Cooley. Navarro’s paramour, Sibella Hallward will be portrayed by Sabrina Olsen, who returns to the Theatre 29 stage after a decade away serving in the US Air Force.  Opposite Sibella is the proper Phoebe D’ysquith, played by Lisa Goldberg creating quite the love triangle. In the monstrous role of the entire D’ysquith family (nine characters in all) is award winning actor Charles Harvey.  In the role of the quirky Miss Shingle is multi-award winning performer/director Kathryn Ferguson who also has designed the Edwardian era costuming.

In the roles of the Grecian chorus ensemble, who embody no less than 60 different characters between them, are Scott Clinkscales, Joseph Rego, Ian Ferris, Cindy Daigneault, Brittany Vachon-LaGuardia & Anna Alkire

“A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” will run weekends at Theatre 29 from October 1st through 24th. Theatre 29 follows all CDC and California Department of Public Health Covid guidelines through mandatory audience and staff masking (regardless of vaccination status), enhanced surface disinfection and air purification and temperature screenings of all who enter the building.  All performers, staff and crew are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
