THEATRE 29 PLANNING “HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS” ONLINE HOLIDAY SHOW

With Covid-19 precautions keeping entertainers off the stage, Theatre 29 is making plans to bring actors and singers directly into your home. Managing editor Tami Roleff says performers are invited to submit an audition tape for “Theatre 29: Home for the Holidays”…

“Theatre 29: Home for the Holidays” will be an online experience with your favorite local performers presenting holiday favorites in song and dance. Directors Lisa Goldberg and Scott Clinkscales are seeking performers for the virtual show. The deadline to contact them is 5 p.m. Monday, November 23.

Performers may send the directors their taped submission, or sign up to record their performance at Theatre 29 on December 5 or 6. Performers must have a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days of the in-person performance date. “Theatre 29: Home for the Holidays” will be released online Saturday, December 19, with a minimum donation of $5 to view the show.

For more information, contact Lisa Goldberg [email protected] or Scott Clinkscales, [email protected].

Deadline for interest emails is 5:00 pm November 23rd. Potential vocalists may send in self-tape submissions or sign up for a time to come into the theatre to be recorded. Performers who want to come into the theatre to record on December 5th and 6th can sign up for a 20-minute time slot, after they send an interest email. Anyone who chooses to come into the theatre to be recorded will be required to have a negative COVID-19 test result from a test no more than three days prior to recording day. If they are unwilling or have a positive result, they can self-record at another location.

“Theatre 29: Home for the Holidays” will be released online Saturday, December 19, 2020 with a minimum $5 donation requested to help offset the costs of maintaining the theater and ongoing administrative costs during the pandemic.
