THEATRE 29 OFFERS RARE STAGED READING WITH NATIONALLY KNOWN PLAYWRIGHT

Playwright Phil Olson attended Theatre 29’s production of his musical comedy, “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” last May and hosted a talk-back session post show. He was so impressed with the event’s success; he’s asked Theater 29 to prepare a staged reading of his latest comedy, “A Nice Family Christmas.” The one-night-only reading will take place on the Theatre 29 main stage Saturday, July 23, at 7 p.m. The staged reading features veteran Theatre 29 actors Randy Smith, Cindy Daigneault, Kurt Schauppner, Marty Neider, Robert Pushkar, Kylie Robinson, and Mandi Pushkar, under the direction of “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant’s” Marty Neider. Playwright Olsen will attend the exclusive preview performance and consider audience feedback before his play is completed and performed in seven community theaters nationwide.
Tickets to “A Nice Family Christmas staged reading are $10 each and are available only be calling the Theatre 29 box office at 760-361-4151 or at the door. Donations of non-perishable food items for the Local Food Bank will also be collected at the performance. Seating is first come-first seated for this event.
