Theatre 29 has announced it’s looking for directors to submit shows for consideration to build the 2014 season of plays and musicals. Area directors are urged to submit two show titles for consideration to allow more flexibility in presenting a well balanced 2014 season. Directors can request specific time slots but no guarantee is made as to availability. The deadline for submitting shows is June 30. Directors are reminded that Theatre 29 is dedicated to producing shows that are family oriented and will attract a general audience. A script and estimated budget including estimated royalties and script costs must be submitted for consideration. Directors submitting for the first time to Theatre29 are also asked to include a directorial resume or biography of their theatrical background. It’s also strongly suggested that first time directors include an assistant director who is familiar with the Theatre29 organization and culture. Interested directors can get more information and see time slots for the 2014 season at Theatre29.org, then click on the “Press” icon.
