THEATRE 29 LOOKING FOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN PERFORMERS

The third production of Theatre 29’s 2013 season, the epic Broadway musical, “Ragtime,” has an immediate need for African-American men and women singers. This musical, based on the classic novel by E.L. Doctorow, will take the stage for five weeks beginning May 3, through June 1. This musical finds in the experience of three families, circa 1906, all the glories and contradictions that created the American Century. All participants need to be able to sing at least chorally. Stage experience is a plus. Also seeking at least two more men, Caucasian or other ethnicities encouraged. For more information, contact the director, Charles Harvey, via email at [email protected] or at 760-668-9117. Rehearsals are currently underway at Theatre 29, Monday through Thursdays beginning at 6:30 p.m. Interested parties can also contact director during these times in person.
