THEATRE 29 UNVEILS ITS 2019 “BEST OF” 20TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON

A packed house of business, government, civic, and community leaders joined enthusiastic theater supporters as Theatre 29 unveiled its 2019 season line-up of musicals, comedies, and dramas. With more on the 20th anniversary “Best Of” season at Theatre 29 here’s Rebecca Havely…At a recent Chambers of Commerce meeting held at Theatre 29, the theater’s 2019 season line-up was revealed. It includes six mainstage productions, plus the summer youth theater program and six improv comedy performances by The Baker’s Dozen. Mainstage shows include the classic drama “Glass Menagerie” that will be directed by Katie Fleischman; the comedy “A Bad Year for Tomatoes” with director Char Childs, and the mystery spoof “Murder Room,” directed by Eddie Tucker. Also, three big Broadway musicals, “Oklahoma” with director Charles Harvey; “Once Upon a Mattress” with director Kathryn Ferguson; and “Little Shop of Horrors” directed by Gary Daigneault. All the season’s directors presented scenes and songs from their selected shows featuring the talents of several Theatre 29 volunteers.
