The Theatre 29 organization is sponsoring its own opening night gala for the classic Agatha Christie murder-mystery, “The Mousetrap.” This Friday, October 6, at 6 p.m., hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks will be served and a silent auction will be held prior to the 7 p.m. curtain. Desserts will be served at intermission. “The Mousetrap” culminates with an iconic, nerve-shredding twist ending which audiences are traditionally asked not to reveal after leaving the theater. The funds raised at the gala will help offset the overhead costs for the ambitious Theatre 29 2018 season. “The Mousetrap” will run three weekends through October 22; this weekend only there will be both a matinee and an evening performance Saturday and no show Sunday. Then there will be Friday and Saturday evening shows at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 for the reminder of the run.. Tickets for “The Mousetrap” opening night only are $25 each and can be purchased at the Z107.7 studios in Joshua Tree, at the office of the Loan Lady in Yucca Valley or by calling the Theatre 29 Box Office at 760-361-4151. After opening night, visit www.theatre29.org or call the Box Office to purchase tickets at the regular price of $10 to $15.
