Theatre 29 honors volunteers for contributions to local theatre at Volunteer Recognition night

Theatre 29 recently honored their volunteers for their work with the community theatre over the past theatre season. Theatre 29 gathered their performers, technical personnel, volunteer ranks, and supporters together to celebrate a successful 2022-23 Season at a volunteer appreciation event September 30.

The Volunteer Recognition event saw a full house of about 75 participants gather at the theater. Every individual who was involved with any of the five main stage productions that were staged as well as their Improv Troupe during the season were presented a personalized certificate to recognize their contributions to the theatre.

Honors awarded included the “Above and Beyond” award given to Andrew Perkins while the “Unseen Heroes” accolade went to artist Kevin Maddrey and the “Board Member of the Year” was Cindy Daigneault. The organization’s “Volunteer of the Year” was Charles Harvey.

At the conclusion of the event, the Theatre 29 Board surprised Gary Daigneault with their first-ever “Lifetime Achievement” award, recognizing his 23 years of leadership with the organization, 18 of those as Board President.
