After discovering that there was a severe lack of plays about great American women, the California Desert Regional Theater set about to rectify that situation. Members of the theater each selected a woman they admired and wrote a monologue using the actual words of the women taken from letters, diaries, and news reports. The compilation of their work is “Shattered Ceilings,” a touring play that will conclude its two-night performance tonight at Theatre 29 in Twentynine Palms.
