The improv workshops and auditions at Theatre 29 were immensely successful. Director Chris Fleischman has cast “The Baker’s Dozen,” the theater’s inaugural improvisational comedy troupe. With the cast list, here’s reporter Rebecca Havely…
The “Baker‘s Dozen” Improv Troupe consists of 13 talented comedian/actors. The troupe’s director Chris Fleischman will be a troupe member joined by Graham Cooley, Cindy Daigneault, Cam D’Angeles, Amy Fangmeyer, Kory Fleischman, Lisa Goldberg, Cody Joseph, Yvonna Mullen, Joseph Rego, Kylie Robinson, Hope Spicer, and Katie Van Sumeren. Improvisation, or improv, is a form of live theatre in which the plot, characters, and dialogue of a game, scene or story are made up in the moment. No two shows are alike, and it is hoped that fans of “The Baker’s Dozen” will come back again and again. Troupe performances are scheduled at Theatre 29 on June 10, July 15, August 12, September 23, October 28, November 11, and December 30. The performances are rated PG 13.
Improv Troup show tickets are $10 each; military and seniors are $7; and students with ID are $5. Theatre 29 season ticket holders may attend one performance at no additional charge. For tickets visit theatre29.org or call the Theatre 29 box office at 760-361-4151.
