THEATRE 29 ANNOUNCES CAST FOR “A DOLL’S HOUSE”

Director Kurt Schauppner has selected a cast of veteran actors and newcomers for the next production at Theatre 29, “A Doll’s House, by Henrik Ibsen. “A Doll’s House” is a drama about a woman, Nora, who realizes her life is not as perfect as she thought. Starring as Nora, in her first play at Theatre 29, is Tishia Forcada, a student at Copper Mountain College. Adam Redmon plays Nora’s over-protective husband, Torvald. Nora’s best friend, Christine, is portrayed by Gabby Timbrook, a student at Twentynine Palms High School who was seen recently in the high school’s production “Forbidden Broadway.” Playing Nora’s children are Nicholas Perez and Lea Maya. Diana Jimenez will portray Nora’s maid, Helen, and veteran actor Sue Kelly will play the children’s nurse. Herman Platzke is Nora and Torvald’s friend, Dr. Rank. Paul Potthoff, who has performed in Big Bear, will take on the role of trouble-maker Nils. Rounding out the cast is Justin Perez as the porter. “A Doll’s House” will run for five weekends from June 20 through July 19. Performances will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights (except July 4th) with 2:30 Sunday matinees June 29, July 6 and July 13. For tickets call 760-361-4151.
