After two staff members of “Murder on the Orient Express” contracted breakthrough cases of COVID-19, and in line with existing policies which prioritize the safety of staff, performers, and patrons, Theatre 29 has adjusted show schedules. The staffers had mild symptoms but isolated until they tested negative, rehearsals were postponed for a week and all cast and crew members are fully vaccinated.
Due to COVID-19 impacts, “Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express” will be postponed one week, now opening Friday, January 21st and running three weekends through February 6. The Twentynine Palms Kiwanis Club Opening night Gala has been moved to January 21.
Due to the production week movement to the week of January 17 – 21 for “Murder on the Orient Express”, auditions for the musical “Rapunzel” will we held Sunday, January 16th at 6 p.m. at the theater. The first week of rehearsals for “Rapunzel” will be held at the director’s residence.
The following cabaret production of “Almost Love” has been postponed for one week to February 18, 19, and 20.
Rapunzel’s production run is unchanged at this time, running from March 25 to April 10.
Patrons who had purchased tickets for “Murder on the Orient Express” January 14-16 will be refunded and can reschedule at www.theatre29.org.
