The Theatre 29 board of directors—the Morongo Basin’s all-volunteer, non-profit community theater organization—held its yearly reorganization meeting this month and elected new directors. Cassidy Taylor has the details…
Elected for two-year terms (2021-2022) were incumbents Tera Bottorff, Ben Costello, Kathryn Ferguson, and Charles Harvey. They were joined by Patti Brown, who returned after a brief hiatus. John Pollnow was elected to fill the remaining term of Serina Zuniga, who recently resigned for personal reasons. Zuniga served on the board and as the snack bar manager and instituted many improvements in the products and operation, she will be missed. Also leaving the board is Betty Thrasher who served two years but will remain active with productions and improvements.
The new board members will join incumbent board members (2020-2021) Char Childs, Cindy Daigneault, Gary Daigneault, and Lisa Goldberg.
In reorganizing for 2021, the board of directors voted unanimously to re-elect Gary Daigneault as the board president; Charles Harvey was named vice-president; Lisa Goldberg, board secretary; and Tera Bottorff, treasurer.
Daigneault then made board committee appointments, which were approved by a vote of the board as per the Theater 29 by-laws.

Desert Theatre League / Association of Desert Theatres Representative: Charles Harvey.
Special Events Committee: Kathy Ferguson, chair; Cindy Daigneault, and Lisa Goldberg.
Summer Youth Theatre Program Director: Gary Daigneault, director; Char Childs.
