The cast and crew of “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” is gearing up for opening at Theatre 29. Reporter Rebecca Havely has more…
As opening night steadily approaches for the musical comedy “Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” at Theatre 29 director Marty Neider shared some behind the scenes stories. Neider says the group is having lots of laughs and lots of fun at rehearsals. She’s striving to pull the diverse group of actor/singers together for the production. While Kylie Robinson and Leigh-Ann Crummet are veterans at Theatre 29 in their first big roles, Jasper Malfog and Randy Smith are newcomers to the Theatre 29. Jonathan Fries is reprising his role from “Don’t Hug Me Christmas Carol” also directed by Neider, a few seasons ago. The entire team is working hard and having a blast as their opening night draws nearer.
“Don’t Hug Me, I’m Pregnant” will open May 6 and run Friday and Saturday nights through June 4 at 7 p.m. with 2:30 matinees on Sunday, May 15 and 29. Tickets are from $8 to $15 dollars and can be reserved on line at Theatre29.org or by calling the theater box office at 760-361-4151.
