California is redrawing district lines, and the state wants your help. With more information on new online tools for district map drawing, here’s reporter Jef Harmatz…

The state’s electoral district maps must be redrawn based on new information gathered from the 2020 census, and the state wants input from every Californian. The districts, which are used to establish representation for both federal and state governments, are overseen by the non-partisan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission, which has introduced several map drawing tools now available online. By submitting your own district map, you’ll provide your unique expertise about your community to the redistricting process while engaging with new census data and learning about the election process.
