The St. Joseph’s Players’ production of “The Kitchen Witches” will have you in stitches! The show opens next Saturday, November 12 at St. Joseph Church in Yucca Valley. The Opening Night Gala will feature pre-curtain and intermission activities starting at 6 p.m., including heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, a prize raffle, a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing. The curtain will rise at 7 p.m. Tickets for the opening only are $25. each. The play develops as two cable TV cooking show hostesses mix things up on the T.V. studio’s kitchen set. Dolly and Isobel have hated each other for years, but find themselves on cable TV together. This recipe for disaster makes for very interesting television, as the insults and food start to fly. Local veteran actresses portray the Kitchen Witches: Marty Neider as Dolly Biddle, and Sally Fox as Isobel Lomax. They are ably supported by Jackson Dean as Stephen Biddle, and Barry Inscore as Rob, the camera guy. Multi-Award winning Director Abe Daniels has created the perfect recipe for a night full of laughs. Written by Caroline Smith, which won the 2005 Samuel French Canadian Playwrights Contest. The play runs Saturday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. through December 4 at the regular ticket prices of $11.00 for adults and $9.00 for Military, Students and Seniors.
