“THE SEAHORSE” OPENS AT GROVE’S THEATER IN MORONGO VALLEY

The Groves Cabin Theater is opening “The Seahorse” this weekend in Morongo Valley. Reporter Rebecca Havely has more details …
“The Seahorse,” by Edward J. Moore, opens this weekend at the Groves Cabin Theatre in Morongo Valley. It runs Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. from February 13 through March 20. Set in a bar named “The Sea Horse” along the oceanside, Harry and Gertrude share the dynamics of an insecure relationship: wanting to move on, but afraid of past experiences that have had long lasting effects. Filled with loving, tender moments of hope, combined with moments of frustrations, “The Sea Horse” reminds us of how vulnerable we are when we let past experiences get in the way of the future. The two-character cast features Scott Cutler and Rebecca Havely as Harry and Gertrude. Directed by award winning actor/director Abe Daniels. He has studied at The Actors Studio in Los Angeles with Salome Jens. Daniels says, “Art reflects life, is about people in a transition in their lives and what they are willing to do in order to survive.  It is always a work in progress. You, the audience, make up the last element of a play, for you no longer become an observer but a participant. Seating is limited at this intimate venue. Call now to reserve your seat at 760-365-4523. Adding your name to the waiting list may lead to added performances. The Groves Cabin Theater is located at 8758 Desert Willow Trail in Morongo Valley.
Reservations are a must and tickets are $12 at the door; cash only please. Call 760-365-4523 for reservations or to be added to the waiting list.
