The community blood supply has reached dangerously low levels that could potentially affect patient well-being. Blood is urgently needed for surgeries and cancer treatments, for accident, burn and trauma victims, and for newborn babies and women giving birth.
The blood bank has less than a one-day supply of O-positive, O-negative, A-negative, and B-negative blood. You can make a difference by donating blood. All donation types and all blood types are welcomed. The blood donation process is faster and more convenient than ever; go to LStream.org and click on “ExpressPass” on your blood donation day. Required paperwork may be reviewed and the donor questionnaire completed before you arrive at the collection site.
