A unique art collection at a unique Joshua Tree location. Reporter Rebecca Havely invites you to an opening reception tomorrow…
BoxoHOUSE will show “The Quiet Roar” a collection by Los Angeles artist, Sydney Croskery, at a reception that opens Saturday, February 20, from 2 to 5 p.m. BoxoHouse is located at 62732 Sullivan Road in Joshua Tree. Croskery presents a suite of drawings inspired by Joshua Tree. The work responds to the desert’s polarized forces, where nature collides with technology. The seven graphite works in this series combines insignificant single items as a kind of hieroglyphics that reflect the over-stimulation of consumptive contemporary society. Croskery received her BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. “The Quiet Roar” will show at BoxoHOUSE through March 5.
