If that strikes a chord, then you’ll want to head to Saturday night’s tribute concert to Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders. Just Pretending hits the outdoor stage at Twentynine Palms’ Tortoise Rock Casino Saturday night at 8 p.m. Think back to “Precious,” “Talk of the Town,” “My City Was Gone,” “2000 miles,” and other classics from The Pretenders. The free Live at the Rock concerts are open to all ages. Next Saturday, Aveneda Music kicks off the August concerts.
