Theatre 29 invites you to the gala opening of the sci-fi drama, “The Man From Earth.” The event will benefit two local non-profits. Reporter Rebecca Havely has more…
“The Man From Earth” opens Friday night, August 21 at Theatre 29. Both the Twentynine Palms Library and the Gladys Carol Scholarship Program will share proceeds from the performance. Under the direction of Eddie Tucker, this thought-provoking play centers on Professor John Oldman as a party in his honor turns into an interrogation as he reveals to his colleagues that he is an immortal who has walked the earth for 14,000 years. The tickets for opening night only are $25 and include the show, refreshments, and great opportunity drawings. For opening night tickets only, visit the Twentynine Palms Library, or call Cheryl Gillon at 760-586-2185. After opening night the tickets return to their regular prices of $8 to $12, and the show continues its run for five consecutive weekends. Those seats are available at theatre29.org.
