The ukulele is beautiful part of the chordophone instrument family. It was developed from the Portuguese instrument braguinha. A ukulele comes in sizes concert, tenor, baritone , and the standard size of soprano and was officially made in 1879. They are generally made from mahogany wood and tune to the notes G C E A. The ukulele is a beautiful sounding 4 string instrument and I love playing it.
