The Hi-Desert Nature Museum’s Brown Bag Lunch lecture Thursday, December 21, is on the history of Christmas foods, presented by Stefanie Ritter. Reporter Eric Knabe has the delicious details…
Roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, bean casserole, and pumpkin pie are easily recognized as a traditional holiday meal, but have they always been? When did you last have plum pudding? Or a nice side of cooked tongue?
This lecture will enlighten you about the history and meaning of some of our favorite holiday dishes. Bring your lunch, bring your friends, or just bring yourself to the Brown Bag Lunch lecture series on December 21.
The lectures start at noon. Admission is $5 or free for museum members and sponsors. Beverages will be served.
