“THE CURE FOR THE QUARANTINE” ART EXHIBIT OPENS SATURDAY AT THE GLASS OUTHOUSE

An opening reception for a new exhibit is set for 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 5, at the Glass Outhouse art gallery, east of Twentynine Palms. “The Cure for the Quarantine” exhibit was organized by a group of Morongo Basin female artists who have been meeting monthly for about eight years. The exhibit will feature the works of Esther Shaw, Suzanne Ross, Haroko Momii, Sharon Morgan-Jenkins, Bonnie Brady, Noreen Lawlor, and Alain Levinsohn. The art will be on display through December 27. The Glass Outhouse, located on Highway 62 about five miles east of Twentynine Palms, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required.

Bonnie Brady’s paintings give tribute to the African American, women’s quilts of rural Kentucky in the 19th century.
