San Bernardino County has launched both English and Spanish versions of a new television commercial about getting your COVID-19 vaccination. Ernest Figueroa says the spots use fun animation to remind viewers that getting vaccinated means a return to life as we knew it…
In the 30-second spot, the ad starts by showing us a lonely girl at her birthday party and a young adult eating alone with a reminder that “life was hard in 2020.” But after a reminder that “vaccines are safe and they work,” we see a new situation with the birthday girl surrounded by friends and family, and the young man enjoying dinner at a bar with friends and other happy patrons.
“We’ve now entered a new phase of our vaccination drive where we need to encourage those residents who have been waiting for whatever reason that now is the time to get their vaccine dose so everyone can feel safe having parties again or gathering in public,” said County Public Information Officer David Wert, who supervised the production of the commercial.
The “Seeing Family and Friends Again” commercial will be seen throughout many of the most popular channels on Spectrum Cable, including HGTV, CNN, Fox News, TNT, Galavision, Lifetime, TNT and The History Channel, among others. It can also be viewed and shared through the County’s YouTube page.
