THANKSGIVUKKAH

Tonight is the third night of the 8-day holiday of Chanukkah.  This year’s unusually early start has led to coining the name Thanksgivukkah .  The holiday commemorates the victory of an insurgent Jewish group over a Syrian overlord in a 3-year war, ending in the year 165 B.C., and the subsequent return of the Temple in Jerusalem to traditional worship practices.  In celebration, we say Chag Sameach – happy holiday!
