TERRORISTIC THREATS ARREST IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Thursday after he threatened to kill his wife. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Catarino Mata, 31, of the 5900 block of Morongo Road, had a dispute with his wife about 1 p.m., after which he told her he was getting his guns and was going to go to her place of employment to kill her. After an investigation, Catarino Mata was arrested near Alpine and Sunnyvale Roads for investigation of making terrorist threats. He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center with his bail set at $50,000.
