As the Twentynine Palms High School girl’s tennis season comes to a close, new players and returning players are encouraged to practice over the off-season. According to team captain Brianna Sears, “It is important for beginners to understand how the game is played. It can be a very difficult sport to play without the knowledge of scoring and structure.” She said, “Good sportsmanship and honesty is huge in every sport but especially in tennis.” Without “line judges, players need to be frank when making these line calls.” Sears adds that beginners need to be ready for “running warm ups, as well as control warm ups, followed by full court rallies.”
