Ted Meyers’ “Sheepdogs” film screening at Palm Springs International Film Society’s Shortfest on Tuesday (6/24)

Local film “Sheepdogs” will be playing at the Palm Spring International Film Society’s Shortfest on Tuesday (June 24). Produced by Twentynine Palms-based artist Anna Stump and directed by Brian Knappmiller, the documentary depicts military veterans’ struggles and triumphs over injury and illness. It will screen in “Desert Docs,” at 2:00 p.m. at the Festival Theaters, 789 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way in Palm Springs.

Filmed on location in Twentynine Palms in 2024, “Sheepdogs” follows artist Ted Meyer as he paints the body scars resulting from illness and injury of four veterans from the Marines and the Navy.
