There is much to be learned from the many materials, structures, and shapes that comprise the unique plant life in Joshua Tree National Park. Participants in the workshop will learn concrete scientific ideas to use in their K-12 classrooms. The cost of the workshop ranges from $100 to $175 for Joshua Tree National Park Association members and $110 to $185 for nonmembers. The class will be held at the Black Rock Canyon Nature Center; 9800 Black Rock Canyon Road in Yucca Valley, on Friday, June 7 from 6 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call 760-367-5539.
