The Rotary Club of Joshua Tree has set the date for the ninth annual Taste of Morongo. The popular event will be Saturday, September 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bell Center on the Copper Mountain College campus in Joshua Tree. Managing editor Tami Roleff says the organizers are looking for more restaurants to participate…
At least eight local restaurants have signed up to participate in the ninth annual Taste of Morongo: 2 Guys’ Pies, Cali Greens, Middle Eastern Hookah Lounge, Park Rock Café, Bistro 29, Papa’s Smokehouse, Cool Daddy-O’s, and Bruce’s Coyote Kitchen. In addition to the great food, there will be music and raffles. Proceeds benefit the club’s high school scholarships, leadership camps for students, and community service projects. Restaurant owners who are interested in participating in this fundraising event—which always sells out—contact the Joshua Tree Rotary Club by calling 760-361-9359, or email [email protected]. Tickets are $20 and are available at the Z107.7 studios in Joshua Tree, the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce, and ArtFX in Yucca Valley, or contact any Joshua Tree Rotary Club member.
