A taco lunch fundraiser will feature a Kamikaze Nacho Competition. Who will be named the baddest in the Basin? Will it be CHP, SB County Fire or the DA’s Office? Maybe Morongo Valley Fire, SB Probation, or the JT National Park Service will reign supreme. Come watch to see who wins at the Taco Lunch at the Sheriff’s Department front parking lot at 63665 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree on Wednesday, October 24 from 11 till 2. The Nacho contest at 1 p.m. will also include The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, NCIS, CID, PMO and Morongo Basin Ambulance. For $10, enjoy a taco meal with beans, rice and beverages, with your choice of chicken, carne asada or carnitas. Event proceeds to benefit Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Explorers.
