Learn how to create a delicious Valentine Bento Box filled with sweet treats. Managing editor Tami Roleff explains how you can sign up for this class offered by the Town of Yucca Valley…
A bento is an iconic boxed meal enjoyed by millions of Japanese and often features creatively-decorated foods. Bentos can be elaborately arranged in a style called “kyaraben” (character bento) or “oekakiben” (picture bento) where food is decorated to look like characters and animals, or items such as flowers and plants. During a class, offered from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, in the Yucca Valley Community Center’s Cholla Room, you can learn how to create a Valentine-themed bento box. The $35 registration fee includes instruction, all ingredients, and a gift box. Space is limited so sign up now at yucca-valley.org.
