Sheriff’s deputies and a SWAT team responded to a hostage situation in the Yucca Mesa neighborhood of Yucca Valley Wednesday. About 12:40 p.m., deputies were called to a home in the area of Buena Vista Drive and Old Woman Springs Road. An unidentified man was holding a woman hostage inside a home and threatening violence. Deputies called in trained negotiators and the Special Weapons and Tactics Team to help mediate with the man. Negotiations have been ongoing for several hours and are still continuing as of 11 p.m Wednesday. Z107.7 News will have more information as it becomes available.
