SUSPICIOUS VEGETATION FIRE IN YUCCA VALLEY MONDAY

Yucca Valley firefighters responded to a suspicious vegetation fire Monday evening. Neighbors called 911 about 6:30 p.m. to report a couple of bushes were on fire in a vacant lot in the 6400 block of Goleta Avenue. Firefighters put out the fire in a couple of minutes. County Fire Battalion Chief Scott Tuttle said that despite questioning several groups of kids, no one admitted to starting the fire.
