The Sheriff’s department is investigating a small fire in Twentynine Palms Wednesday that burned a section of a wooden fence. Sometime between 3 and 4 p.m., Twentynine Palms fire fighters were called to a fence fire in the 5400 block of Chia Avenue, off of Buena Vista. Fire fighters were able to quickly put out the fire, which burned between 30 and 40 feet of the fence. The Sheriff’s arson unit is investigating the cause.
