SUSPICIOUS DISGUISED MAN FOUND TO HAVE MULTIPLE WARRANTS

A Yucca Valley transient was arrested Monday after a Joshua Tree resident thought it was suspicious for the man to be walking around with a bandana over his face. According to a Sheriff’s Report, a resident called the Sheriff’s Department about 9 a.m. to report a man, wearing a King’s jersey and a bandana over his face, was wandering around Hillview Road and Highway 62. A deputy found the man, later identified as Jose Reyes, 37, in the area. A records check found Reyes had an active warrant for his arrest for probation violation for a conviction of assault with a deadly weapon in 2014. Jose Reyes was arrested on his warrants, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $501,000.
