SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN ATTACK ON TWENTYNINE PALMS HOMELESS MAN

The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two people who are involved in the beating of a homeless man in Twentynine Palms Monday. Timothy Richardson, 60, was seated outside the 7-11 convenience store at Highway 62 and Adobe Road when a black Nissan Altima stopped near him about 6:40 p.m. The front passenger got out of the car and walked over to Richardson and started kicking and stomping on his head. The suspect then ran back to the car, which then drove south toward Highway 62.

The initial crime was not reported to deputies; detectives were later alerted to the crime after surveillance video was posted on social media. The suspect is identified only as black, 15 to 20 years old, wearing a white shirt and blue pants. The driver is unidentified. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at 760-366-4175.
