A suspected drug dealer was arrested Thursday night when he was found with a large amount of suspected methamphetamine, heroin, and cash. Deputies were patrolling the Motel 6 in the 72500 block of Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms just before midnight Thursday where they saw a man, later identified as Christopher Browne, 39, of Yucca Valley, sitting in his car outside the motel. Deputies stopped to talk to Browne and discovered he was on probation. During a probation compliance check, deputies found about four pounds of methamphetamine and two ounces of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and more than $4000 in cash. Christopher Browne was arrested on suspicion of sales of a controlled substance, for $200,000 in warrants, and for his probation violation. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held on a no-bail probation hold.
