This follow-up to a story we aired earlier this month about the dumping of several tons of asphalt and concrete along a dirt road in north Joshua Tree. The Sheriff’s Department received information from multiple sources and determined the dumping in the 62100 block of Sonora Road is a non-criminal matter. The asphalt and concrete are being used by a private property owner for a project to make roadway improvements on private property near the location. The Sheriff’s Department thanks residents for their assistance in this matter.
