Suspected drug dealers arrested as part of traffic stop in Joshua Tree

On Friday morning (December 5) at around 1:45 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple code violations. Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Jonathan Gera, a 23 year-old resident of Landers, and a passenger as Sharla Krenelka, a 37 year-old resident of Joshua Tree.

Deputies say Gera consented to a search of his vehicle, and inside they found multiple individually packaged quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana, which appeared to be for the purpose of sale. Deputies say they found a large amount of cash and additional packaging materials consistent with the sale of narcotics.

Jonathan Gera and Sharla Krenelka were arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale. Both have been released on bail.
