Sheriff deputies are investigating a case of suspected arson in Joshua Tree. Shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday (March 8), deputies responded to the 59300 block of Sunny Sands Drive in Joshua Tree for a report of items burning in a driveway. When deputies arrived and contacted the resident who extinguished the fire, they discovered that an unknown suspect or multiple suspects set the resident’s personal belongings that were in his driveway, on fire. There was no damage to the property or surrounding properties. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Morongo Basin Station at 760-366-4175.
